| "The Boathouse" was exactly that when it was built
on the edge of Brentwood Bay in 1927 by a local man for his family. Since
1986 we have operated it as a Bed and Breakfast cottage.
Nestled in a secluded location with private entry by land or water, The Boathouse is suitable for one or two non-smoking adults. If you are seeking peace and quiet in a comfortable, natural setting, The Boathouse is for you. |

Both the cottage and adjacent bathhouse (shower and private bathroom)
have been completely refurbished, yet they retain the charm and old-style
craftsmanship of the original buildings. We put your breakfast in
the cottage's refrigerator the night before to give you flexibility in
your morning schedule. This continental-style breakfast includes fresh-squeezed orange juice, a fresh fruit salad, a variety of muffins or loaves, plus quality coffee, tea and hot chocolate. |

Our private
dock is ideal for sunbathing and swimming during the summer months. If
you own a boat or seaplane, you may moor it at the dock during your stay.
We also provide a dinghy with which you can make rowing trips (10 - 20
minutes) to nearby Butchart Gardens, to several restaurants, or to a parkland
beach for a picnic. The cottage, with its covered porch, main room and cozy, seaward-looking library, offers you a quaint and relaxing setting in the company of our stuffed bear. |
