are several campgrounds and RV parks throughout the area. They range
from provincial parks to privately owned facilities. Amenities may include
boat launches, laundry facilities, showers, playgrounds, firepits, stores,
and more.
Near Cumberland is a campground next to Comox Lake. This facility has serviced and unserviced sites, toilets and showers, a concession, and a boat launch. The attractions include fishing, hiking, swimming and water-skiing. In Courtenay there are a couple of properties. The facilities include cable TV, phone and power hookups, laundries, showers, a sani station, and an outdoor pool. One property is on the oceanside while the other has level grassy sites overlooking a river. The Comox area has several more campgrounds and RV sites. Services vary but all have showers and laundry facilities. Additional features are cottages, boat launches, guide services, stores, video rentals, fishing tackle, and kayak, canoe and bike rentals. As you can see just about everything you could want is available for your convenience. |
