The hidden lakes that surround the valley a perfect for swimming, fishing or canoeing, while venturing nearby into the pristine wilderness presents opportunities to photograph mountain sheep, bear, bald eagles and deer. The rivers are perfect for a relaxing time tubing.

In the winter there are miles of trails for cross country skiing and  snowmobiling. The slopes of Phoenix Mountain are great for gliding downhill. After a day outdoors enjoy the hospitality of Grand Forks.

Savour a delicious bowl of Russian borscht and then take a walking tour along the maple tree-lined streets.  A good way to unwind is a visit to the Art Gallery and Museum or the popular Recreation Centre.
